APW - Howard Keystone, 23J, 12S, very rare 14K white gold original Howard HC, gold cuvette with signature ring, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, ruby banking pins, nickel-plated train wheels, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#1095401. Gross weight of assembled watch 46.4 dwt (72.2 g). A superb high grade piece for the Howard Keystone collector, 14K white gold American hunting cases are very rare and this is the first signed Howard example we have handled.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, "K" and "L" letters have been lightly scribed to center bridge surface in space between third wheel jewel and bridge screw, some typical mild fine to micro-fine scratches elsewhere, some small marring adjacent some of the screw recesses; nearly flawless dial with micro-fine scratch above seconds-register, few infinitesimal pinpoint edge nicks under bezel; fine hands, hour missing a very small bit of its tip, minute with oxide and finish loss near tip; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engine turning detail; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
